How to take care of your serving board?
If you have bought or received a beautiful wooden board, you want to enjoy it as long as possible. However, wood is a natural product and is therefore subject to change. Cracks can develop over time.
Wood should never be put in the dishwasher. After each use, it is best to clean your shelf with a soft brush, lukewarm water and soap and dry with a dry cloth. Then allow the plank to dry vertically, with the wood grain upright. To maintain its beautiful color and shine, the wood should be regularly rubbed with a special maintenance wax.

Pure Wood Wax

Pure Wood Wax is especially intended for the maintenance of cutting boards, serving boards, chopping blocks, wooden dishes and other wooden kitchen utensils. Because the products are completely food safe, this line is very suitable to condition and keep wooden objects that are used in the kitchen or on the table.

With Pure Wood Wax you maintain the condition of the wood and you prevent odors and colors from getting into the wood. The wax contains a mineral oil that penetrates well into the grooves of the wood and also a natural wax that provides a water-repellent layer. This way the nourishing oil is kept in the wood and the moisture outside. Lubricate the wood regularly with Pure Wood Wax, then the wood remains in condition and drying out and discolouration are prevented for longer. The wax consists of food-safe mineral oil with natural beeswax and carnauba wax.

The Pure Wood Wax is easy to use. Take a clean, dry cloth and lubricate the wax on the wood in the direction of the wood grain. For best results, apply this wax hand warm to the wood. Leave on for at least 20 minutes and then wipe away the excess wax. Polish the wood to get a nice shine. Apply 3-4 layers on a new cutting surface for chopping blocks. Please note that the color of the wood can become darker when using the Pure Wood Wax. Prevent possible staining by allowing the wood to dry well before placing it on a surface.
