Origin of tapas

With these tapas plates we go back to the origin of tapas. The word  ̃tapas" literally means "lid". In the past, the drinks in the Spanish cafes were covered with a piece of bread or a slice of ham against flies. Some innkeepers made a very tasty snack out of this. Hence the Spanish custom of serving small snacks, tapas, with the drink.

Hout is een natuurproduct en verandert met de tijd. Na verloop van tijd kunnen (kleine) scheurtjes ontstaan. Om de kleur en glans te behouden, behandel je het product regelmatig met een speciale onderhoudswax of -olie. Vermijd langdurige blootstelling aan water en hitte.

Reinigen
Was de plank na gebruik met een zachte borstel, lauwwarm water en milde zeep. Vermijd langdurig contact met water en laat het stuk rechtop drogen, met de houtnerf omhoog. Neem altijd voldoende droogtijd in acht om vlekvorming op de ondergrond te voorkomen.

Belangrijk: houten producten zijn niet geschikt voor de vaatwasser, dat beschadigt het hout.

Onderhoud
Behandel je plank regelmatig met olie en wax voor een langere levensduur.

Let op: teak, olijfhout en walnoot zijn van nature oliehoudend. Bij contact met vloeistoffen of bij het gebruik van onderhoudsolie/-wax kunnen er vlekken op de ondergrond ontstaan. De schaal is niet 100% waterdicht en kan bij langdurig gebruik met vloeistoffen na verloop van tijd gaan lekken. Laat altijd goed drogen en controleer vóór plaatsing of er geen natte plekken zitten.
